This book was full of surprises for me. I was expecting it to be too girly for me and was actually not planning on finishing it. Even after getting about a third of the way through it I still almost gave up. I don't know why, but I kept going. It got better and better and better. It became one of those books that I would think about during the day and would find extra time to read. This is a feel-good book. Although it might make you cry, there is just something comforting about reading it. I can't wait to read it with my girls as soon as they are old enough to understand all the vocabulary. Another favorite book by Lousia May Alcott is
